Adsense or Traffic Exchange?

You want to make some more money. So you could put adsense on your site. But you need to get some more traffic. You could get some from a traffic exchange. But....You can't have adsense on a page if you're going to use a traffic exchange to drive traffic there. One option would be to skip the adsense and add affiliate ads. Hmmm...or...OK this is where you fellow forumers come in what's next?

      The option for traffic exchanges and adsense is using a different
      approach. You can't put adsense pages in them, but you can put
      a page that has links to other pages, in hopes that you will get
      a clickout. Make sure the link opens in another window.

      You can do a 2 step approach. The page in the traffic exchange
      has something simple like, click here for blah blah blah.

      That link opens in a new window. But...the page the link goes
      to does not have adsense on it. It is a page that you have
      made up specifically for the previous link. It could be a simpler
      version of your regular main page, but no adsense. All links on
      the page of course go to your other adsense pages.

      Take any article content page on your website that has links
      to all other aspects in your site. Remove the adsense. Use this
      page for the landing page of the link out in the traffic exchange.

      In effect, you are 2 steps removed from the TE. The referring page
      to your adsense page would be your page.

      But don't expect stellar results in a TE.

        There have been accounts banned for linking TO a page with adsense from another page used on a traffic exchnge. Some of these folks have been the ones who post "I didn't do anything wrong and they banned me". Google says "no trafffic exchange sites" - that means anything leading from a traffic exchange to your adsense site puts you at risk. It's a dumb risk as TE's are virtually worthless.

        My advice to new marketers: never buy lists of email addresses or waste time on traffic exchange sites
