SEO Book have a free keyword density checking tool but like it says on the site, don't become too preoccupied with it as it's not an important ranking factor.

I use SEO book for mine. I also use a plugin that tells me what my keyword density is on each page of my site.

        Hey Skibbz,

I've seen Market Samurai out there, but I was not convinced that it is worth the price. It seems like it is just a bunch of free tools that exist in other places like Google that are compiled into one UI. I am sure that it is useful for that matter, but other than convenience, how has it helped you?

I think its better for finding less competitive long tailed keywords which are easier for you to get ranked for. google keyword tools etc usually gives short tailed competitive keywords which are hard to rank for unless you have tonnes of backlinks

Google keyword tool can pull up amazing long tail results. All you have to do is use the advanced settings and search for results with less volume, not leave it wide open. If you search for words that have less than 8500 broad or exact match, you can find goldmines in there.

Market Samurai is by far my favorite tool.

You can grab a free trial for 30 days which I highly recommend. No affiliate links here..just a happy customer.

        Cheers,

        James

P.s If its how it was last year you can get a discount for buying during their trial period..believe its $97 instead of $147

Seobook's toolbar has one keyword density checker but I never used it for any of my projects. It isn't something you should pay much attention to.
