Hi..
I have found a longtail keyword that according to google keyword tool gets over 6000 global searches a month (exact) with very low competition. The question I have is regarding the numbers.. In the competiton field it just shows a dash.. Now I know this probably means there are no advertisers for this KW.. Thats OK becaues I am looking at CPA offers. Alse the local monthly searches column shows nothing just a dash.. What does this mean, and can anyone recommend another KW tool I can use to verify the numbers?
Thanks

There's not really another tool that'll pull Google search data...the other keyword tools you'll see about usually pull their data from other sources. The results you'll see from the Google Keyword Tool sometimes vary depending on the time of day you query, since it'll connect to a different datacenter to get the (sometimes older, sometimes newer) data.

The Local Monthly Searches column shows the number of searches made by searchers in the area you selected.

Best way to 'verify the numbers' would be to throw up a quick Adwords Ad and check the impressions after a day or two
