Get backlinks through Affiliate program?

Hi guys, I'm thinking whether is it possible to create an affiliate program and get backlinks from the affiliates, where they would be inserting either text link or banners on their blogs or sites that will be linking back to my product pages.

The problems that I thought could be gaining backlinks from low quality sites. Is it recommended to gain backlinks through this method?

    You should save yourself time and just go ahead and invest in some backlinks packages... The affiliate websites are not going to link to you, but a bunch of low quality links in most cases will be as good as a few high quality and .edu links.

      Really, I do agree with you and I think it will affect your earning also by getting low positioning in SERP day by day through getting low quality back links.
