Is Google External Keyword tool crazy?

Hey everyone ! Google external Keyword and alexa are driving me crazy!

I was so please with a good keyword I find in Google external keyword tool with around 10k search per month. but when I visit a website which rank 1st for this keyword on Google has alexa ranking N/A ??? It even worst than my 50 visitor per day blog which has alexa ranking: 5 K.

How do you think about this?

    If it was the very first search result, it was a paid ad link, not an organic search. The first three listed are paid ad links.

    The fourth link down is the first one that ranks organically for the keyword.

    also don't judge a KW after the broad search amount per month... many people use that keyword in long tails... to see the exact searches THAT keyword gets per month, wel... use exact type in Google KW Tool... happened for me... i thought aKW was getting 300 searches per day but it actually got 3.

      You have to be careful how you interpret the results. Remember the old saying... trash in equals trash out. If you make some decisions based on incorrect assumptions it may waste your money.

      Quite right, there is often a huge difference between broad and exact searches.
