Can anyone tell me what is pinging exactly? How it is related to website positioning on search engine?

      If you have a new website and you want google to see it the best thing you can to is to ping it !

      Use Pingomatic. This is the most common pingfunction.

    Use a larger ling list in your wordpress notification list and yes, pinging will help you. If you use the default list, it is very limited. Every time you post, it will update and notify.
