"Good" and "normal" are quite different in this case.

"Normal" jumps around based on the market and the PR of the page. Check out the subforum Warrior Reciprocal Links - Buy - Sell - Swap! for more info on that. But these get really ridiculous, like $50/month for high PR in-niche backlinks.

"Good" is different. "Good" means cheap. Not to self-promote, but if you check out the WSO in my signature, I can show you exactly how and where to get high PR backlinks in your niche for $5 each by utilizing the power of Fiverr. This is one of the most effective ways I have found to get high PR backlinks - outsource it for $5 instead of paying way too much. Even if you don't get the WSO, do look into Fiverr as an outsourcing option for your linking needs - you can find some real gems on there if you look hard enough.

Try to use different sources like article marketing, video marketing, bookmarking, social media and tweeter, blogs, rss submission, press releases, web directories and css galleries to get the backlinks. Try to use, where ever possible, you keyword as anchor text.

  This is amazing feedback. Thank you guys soooo much. Can you please expand on your stategy for getting backlinks on Fiverr. I am starting off in SEO and I would like to start cheap and not over pay because right now I am in the test phase and looking for what works... Not really trying to throw a lot of money away. Hi Don,
Well in a nutshell I use a keyword tool to reverse engineer sites that are ranking well. By reverse engineer, I mean take a good look at them, see which high quality backlinks they have and then try to see if I can also get a backlink from the same page. I also check how well optimized they are to see if I can outrank them and become number one in Google.

Go for Quality. Also make sure your backlinks have the high PR. It will take some research to make sure you get some good ones! Not to mention you then have to make sure they get indexed.

Backlinks are great, but in the end they don't really promote your site. If you are thinking of backlinks a your way to the first page and google and hopefully some free traffic, then you may be on the right path. My suggestion is as follows: buying backlinks is over rated and often over paid. If you knew how easy it is to build backlinks, then you would start a business doing the same thing. Try and search around this forum a bit and you will find some good methods to build strong backlinks for little to no cost.

Some of my friends DO SEO as a contract. they do SEO totally manually. and have a good experience. they take around 5 to 10 $ per hr. not in the basis of number of sites.
