Adsense Strategy ?

Hi WARRIORS !
I want to know that whats the adsense strategy ? How does it pays ?
I mean to say that what is CTR , CPC and how does this pays out .
I have read that if CTR is good then earning will be good . So how to increase CTR , my current CTR is 0.18 % - 0.20 % . SO how to increase it .

        I think that is almost the usual ctr, mine i can say that it is almost 1.5%, and the banner that i have it on the page it get's directly on your eyes, so it is possible that your users are not interested in the adsense ads.

    Sometimes improving overall page views stats of websites would not help that much with increasing their Google AdSense profits because the most important issue in here is trying to enhance targeted traffic of domains and not simply their page impressions. Sometimes only a few clicks per day would be enough to have a monthly income.

    Everything depends on your contents, not simply web ranking you know, because readers would examine your contents first before making clicks on any ads shown. You may be better off at checking out websites belonging to your colleagues, the ones containing similar niches and monetized by Google ads.

        You are welcome. It actually depends on your website structure, the way people study posts made on your site.

        Sometimes using text links between paragraphs would considerably improve click-through rates while at other times, using leaderboards placed at top spots on web homepages would rock.

    i use 1 link unit just above the post, 1 large rectangle wrapped left side at the start of the post and a skyscraper at the sidebar. I am getting 8-10% CTR everyday.

      I am using PLIGG CMS and my sites are Socialbookmarking sites , check the demo site in my signature and then suggest me any good adsense positions to increase my CTR
