Either one. Won't make any difference. All that matters is you take the domain all the way and publish extensive content on it.

I agree. Adding an 's' doesn't really make any difference SEO-wise, BUT...

If you tell someone your website url, a lot of people will forget about adding the 's' on the end. For that reason, I would go without the 's'.

Look at competition and see which one is easier to get into top three spots on google.

it would work that way if you want the first example but it is already taken, that way you have your main keyword still, but is your job to rank it

    Usually, singular gets more results.
However, if the domain is darn good, I personally would be taking
both of them for obvious reasons.

You would want to first know clearly the kind of products that you are going to sell. From the domain, it seems that you are going to sell some products that is related to shoe. If you want to have keyword in your domain, you might want to search deeper for better keywords.

Alternatively, you can just purchase any of the domain and focus on publishing good content consistently and building backlinks to your website so that it will be indexed by search engine.

Slightly different answer. Buy them both!

If you've got the funds, buy both domains, place wordpress on both of them, add different content, and backlink them from different sources.

Just make sure the backlinks are quality ones and you'll do just fine.

      Totally agree.

This is definitely the best thing to do once you have found your
      buying keyword and sub-keywords.

Always think more than just SEO

Remember the exact match keyword domains are only one part of SEO.

ExampleShoes.com will resale at a lot more so think about that

Why? Because it's more brand able, it contains the keyword example shoe AND example shoes and is a much better domain name

    Hope this helps

    Here is an out-of-box thinking....
If you really have the choice... CHOOSE BOTH.....

Why do you want to leave money on the table....
    What do you want..
Do you wnat to make money?
OR Do you want to make MORE money?

Ofcourse chose both... you dont want some other slick SEO punk come after you and piggyback on your site's success and do a one-better on you and steal your traffic...

You are not just making a $20 decision.... done right.. you might be making a $1000+ per month.... now that you have this new perspective... what would you chose.?

    I thought so...

    For what its worth...

Looking at the google results even after Panda it is pretty obvious that google still loves it when searched term is present in domain. So if the "example shoes" has good number of searches I would go with the plural in domain (it also covers "example shoe").
