LOL, I am so hot right now I could cuss....LOUDLY!

I spent the better part of two weeks social bookmarking my sites on no less than 50 high PR sites. After seeing no change in ranking, I investigated.

I discovered that more than 3/4 of the sites are on the Pligg system where when you submit a bookmark it goes to the submitted section and does not get published until a user votes. Links in the "upcoming section" are NOFOLLOW and published marks are DOFOLLOW. So be ing the smart guy that I THOUGHT I was, I registered a new user and went to vote on my bookmarks and the d*%m system won't let me vote.

Can someone explain this Pligg system and how in the world I am going to get these 300 backlinks into the published category? PLEASE!!!!

Michael

You are spending FAR too much time messing with social bookmarking. It doesn't work good enough (and hasn't in a LONG while) to warrant that kind of time investment.

Buy a tool, Socialbot is cheap (I use Bookmarking Demon.) Automate the process. What sticks sticks, what falls falls. It takes me moments to submit my sites and I am off with the next project.

You can go to the WSO section and pay someone to create thousands of similar value backlinks for very little money. Spend more time doing profit activities.

Agreed. You can spend countless hours trying to get these links to be recognized, or you can spend that time dong more linking in other places and whatever sticks is great.

We have all been there. Spilled milk, keep going...

Yeah, I made the mistake of spending some time on Social Bookmarking in the past. Haven't dedicated much time to it since then. If anything, I only do a few for each new blog post.

Yeah as the previous people stated it's just not worth it to invest that much time into social bookmarking. Either get a tool or outsource it.
