robots meta plugin for wordpress

Hello people..yesterday i installed robots meta plugin because i was having tag and category [pages indexed in google so i noindexed them to avoid duplicate content issue....

my question is those links still appear in the search results.....how much time will it take before google remove those urls from its search listings..i have resubmitted the sitemap

Almost all the subforums are gone. And you can't search for posts or content in them, either. Where did they go? Decades of knowledge and experience gone.
