Finding backlinks, linkbuilding, where to start?

Hello Warriors!

I have always bought my backlinks from services like fiverr or goten them from forum signatures etc. But I want to get a deeper knowledge in this subject. I was hoping for some tips on where I could start off, maybe an article or site?

all help appriciated!

    A couple of great, common backlinking resources you didn't mention in your original post are:

    1. Blog commenting. You can put your website into the 'website' field in a comment, and it will show up as a link in your comment on that blog post. Some blog posts have high PR, so this can be beneficial as well.

    2. Article marketing. Write an article, submit it to somewhere like EzineArticles or ArticlesBase, and put your link in the 'author' or 'resource' box at the bottom.

      Essentially these are the two form of links I focus on. Try to find blogs which have high PR pages and leave comments on them. The do some article marketing as well. This will give you a great base of links back to your site.

    The ones that are mentioned above are great, but you also want to find some sites that are in your niche and ask the webmaster if they will link to you. Many times if you can get one of these sites to link to you and they have a fairly decent page ranking then they will help you more than blog commenting or forum posting. The other thing you may want to do is to go through and see where you competitors are getting their links and see if you can get some of the same links. Just make sure when you are building your links, then you want to build links that only you can get, and that your competition can't.
