    • What kind of competition are you talking about here? How are you accessing it? Are you looking at how many backlinks, or the PR of the backlinks?

If you can give some feedback on that, we can try and give you some advise about what the best way to outrank them would be.

I agree with this. We need more information to make an educated suggestion.

One thing you can try to do is use a program like SEO SpyGlass available or Open Site Explorer to mimic the backlink profiles of your top competitors as closely as you can.

I use this trick all the time when I seem to be stuck in the SERPs and can't move up no matter how much link building I do. If you can get backlinks from the places your competitors have them and then some why shouldn't you rank above them?

From my view you will have to do more work hard for your KW. You should daily do directory submissions, articles for that Keyword.

Make sure you keep adding pages to your website. I still consider on-site optimization better than off-site...

Well, if you are planning to learn SEO, you may continue studying articles, forums threads plus blogs posts which all are very informative and then gradually you will be able to build better links for your website. If you are very busy and at the same time have enough cash in your pockets, you may be better off by getting in touch with firms and leading companies that can be found using Google engine.

You can also find great deals offered by forum members. Sometimes not all problems are related to lack of links because your domain age, on page optimization and even selection of niches or the same commercial online fields would have impacts on your web success and ranks in SEO world. Try researching the net, adding to your knowledge about your selected fields and then select some hot products.
