When Creating A Blogs For Backlinking Is It Better..?

Does anyone know if its better to have own hosting and own domain setup or if its cool to simply use the .blogspot domain with googles free hosting via blogger?

The reasons i ask is because i have heard that some people have had their blogs shut down without warning. And because im wanting to build a few hundred if not a few thousand of them, which would cost me a heap load.

Thanks

Its better to get your own domain and hosting. I used blogger in the past and got my blog disabled. That's when I decided to host my own sites. I haven't had a problem ever since. I think it is worth the cost to have your own domains and hosting. Btw, you can host unlimited domains with some hosting packages so it may not end up costing that much.

However, I'm a bit confused when you say creating a blog for backlinking therefore my answer may not be relevant if you mean something else.

Hosting your own sites is a good option. At least you do not have to worry about the Web 2.0 property like .blogger being disabled. These are your sites and you got full authority over them.

Definitely a domain and web hosting. Blogspot isn't anything long term and nor is it very flexible.

Usually I suggest go with wordpress because you have no risk of getting your blog removed. However if you want to create thousands of blogs, first of all why? I ask because creating thousands of blogs on blogger can raise red flags. I suggest another service not Blogger.

Hi - Personally I'd go for a mix, say 80/20. But the 80 would be mine, not someone else's... regards Allen

What is the point of creating hundreds or thousands of blogs to spam out back links. If the blogs your spaming from have no PR or links to them your blog link with be close to useless.

You would probably be better working on a very limited number of blogs and building them up. So that there links would be of some value.

Im working off a tactic used by someone selling a very high converting SEO service in the WSO section. When i checked my links i noticed one thing in particular... links on 'relevant' blogs most with no PR. Im thinking that this person has an army of their own blogs in different niches and they simply add the links to the keyword rich articles?

I obviously cant be 100% certain, but i have reverse engineered the service i was given and thats what i have come up with.
