You have probably heard this before, but, read. Read everything you can find. Some of the best ideas, even if its my own opinion, have come from this site. People on these forums come together to share ideas. Take the time to read some of the posts, use the search feature to find specific topics and learn everything you can. It took me a lot of reading and learning before I was successful offline but, it was definitely worth it. Also WSO's (warrior special offers) are another amazing way to get info. Take your time, there is no rush.

If you join the War Room you will find a ton of free stuff in there. Like some of the previous posters have mentioned though, don't be seduced by black-hat tactics. Do things properly and always aim for quality over quantity.

You can find some really good material if you just Google search it. Some of the excellent material on SEO is there for free....and oh yea don't forget to try out Google webmasters guidelines.

Keep keyword density in mind. Mention your keyword 2 times for every 100 words on your site (2%).

Make sure your article is newsworthy that makes people want to link to you and share your content on their website.

Use google's free keyword tool to find low-competitive keywords that you can structure articles around.

Keep writing everyday and post new content to your site daily. Shoot for writing 1-2 articles per day. If you can do 5 articles per day at 500 words each, this is even better.

Submit your articles to website directories, and incorporate article marketing into your marketing plan so that you can get alot of backlinks to your website. Submit to articles to Ezinearticles.com. This is where most of your article traffic will come from.

Use a blog to backlink to your website, and post on this daily also - while keeping your keyword relevancy in check. This is how i got a number 1 position in Google for the term "offline marketing blog" (as of today, today is May 28, 2011. My blog is named Renegade Billionaire Offline Marketing Blog).

First you need to read more about SEO. SEO have two type activity ON Page SEO and OFF Page SEO. You can start some off page activity like link building, bookmarking, article submission etc.

I started with SEOMOZ and found it a great start, I'd recommend it.

Don't Mind if any one define me a proper definition of SEOMOZ.
