Hey folks.

Will there be an issue on Google rankings if I change my current hosting? Will I lose or chance of losing my rankings?

What's your experience?

Let's just say both hosting companies are in US.

Any advice on moving from hosting to hosting.

Thank you in advance.

As long as everything goes smoothly and your URLs remain the same, you should be mostly alright. The only thing I'd be concerned about (but it's highly unlikely) is moving into the same c-block as one of your major linkers.

Oh, and speed. Don't go to a slower host.

You're right! Infact my issue was the different c-block IP change.

And you're right also about speed...choose ALWAYS fast hosters (for me Hostgator, 1&1 and Lunarpages are very good...)

    Hi JJOrana,

yes, it could happen you loose position in ranking...

That's happened to me with a site of my customer who moved it from an Italian hosting to Hostgator (different IP and country). The site was put in sandbox (or as you want to call it!) for some days...then it has come back after some link building activity (social bookmarking and article submission).

Now, after about 4 months, it's on page #1 of Google for a keyword with 750,000 competition...

    hope this helps!

Domain age is important Google ranking factor. If your website is hosted in 10 years old domain then the hosted site will be ranked in Google SERP quickly. If you move your hosting sites from old domain to new domain then the keywords of your site may fall quickly. Therefore, my suggestion is not to move your sites from old domain to new domain.
