Hey All,

I just updated my meta tags, keywords and description and wanted to know about how long it takes for Google to update the rank/placement on the search results. It's a site not a blog.

I know this is such a basic question but I know there are so many more up to date people here than what I know.

THANKS!!!!
#google #long #rerank

I do have to agree with Dave. Google is always sending out spiders, certain keywords can take longer then others though. Usually you can get the specific keywords you want no later then 3 months.

WOW! So basically wait it out then. I am pretty sure I have the right ones but I am still on the 2nd page.

Sometimes I see it happen overnight and other times over a few months.

It it tough with the waiting game. Unless it is a new word that is trending - that changes everything.

This is an easy question to answer: Google does crawl very quickly, but if you want to "force" Google to recrawl your page sooner, just tweet out on twitter with a link to that page (for gosh sake, don't be spammy, okay? - hopefully this page of yours has some value...); alternately you can blog about the new page and link to it.

      Hope that helps!
      Best,
      David
