Which pages should you link build on your website?

The domain name, or other pages also?

Which is more important? Domain page or internal pages.

I have heard that link building to every internal page will boost SEO, as it will look more natural.

A "natural link profile" would include links to all different pages on your website. Usually all your pages will link back to your homepage which ensures it is always the strongest page.

Build links to ALL pages of your website. Link from sites/pages that are especially relevant to the page you're linking to. Use that pages' keyword as anchor text if possible, but don't obsess over that, and don't worry about no/follow either. Finally, build links from a bunch of different sources like blogs, forums, web sites, directories, etc.

      Hope that helps!

I agree, natural is the way to go. This is what Google looks for; as most websites that make it to the top have a lot of natural link building. We should try to imitiate the backlinks of big sites in our industry.

Building links to your sub pages will also help build authority for your home page since the authority will pass from the links you build to your sub pages then as your sub pages build more authority they will pass it to your home page.

Guys, this is another one of those threads where people brainlessly repeat what they heard from someone else.

Building links to ALL internal pages on your domain is NOT a natural linking profile.

        • Natural is to get the domain root linked most, and get some internal pages deeplinked, some not linked at all.
        • And with the deeplinking an even distribution also would not be natural.

Just look at any hugely popular web site and check their back links to internal pages. There's a lot of variation. Some pages might get 500 back links, some 1 or 2 backlinks, some 0.

That is not only true for back links from other sites, but also true for links within your site. You would not want to link each page from every page.

Let me add one practical consideration:
the pages you want to link to most (besides the homepage) are the ones that are most likely to make you money or give you subscribers.

Build to your domain for your main keyword and then to inner pages with your same anchor text and the anchor text you want that page to rank for.

You should be deep link to help accelerate your link building velocity without risking getting slapped.

    Good advice people!

I have boosted my rank 3 ranks higher on page one in the last few days!

The big changes I made to my posts were exactly what I had mentioned in the thread "SEO CHEAT SHEET REVEALED."

Thank for the tips also! The post I mention above concerned building links to internal pages, along with many other on page seo factors!

I learned from our marketing manager that we should not focus alone the link building for the main page. We should also build back-links for the internal pages. This will give more value to your other pages and will increase the authority of your site.
