Adwords dont allow squeeze pages to be pointed to, from the url links:

what is the alternative?

point to an simple page, which has an JUST an article onthe bottom?

and then at the buttom of the page, have a link saying 'for more information on this, Click here'

-> which goes to the original squeeze page - is that ok ?

so we are going to the squeeze page which they dont allow, with a article page?

is that ok

and what are your guys alternatives?

My aim? - a squeeze page, to collect optins, Via Adwords.

Adwords and affiliate marketing are not two great go-togethers, anymore. Are
you selling affiliate products? If so, and depending on other factors such as
your history there, you could get banned from adwords.

If you want to do adwords, then make something a bit larger than one single
article. Try 5-10, maybe a short informative video above the fold, optin below
the video and at the fold, roughly. Be sure to include all applicable admin pages.

Want to see a great example? Google, double your dating, and look at David
d'Angelo's site. His product, real name is Eben Pagan. Successful. Check out his
    site.

You can market a straight up squeeze at Bing/Yahoo. Worth testing. Plus they
    are affiliate friendly.

Ken even bing is cracking down on the email capture system
I spoke with a bing rep and they told me I could send traffic
to my product landing page but no squeeze allowed on landing
but secondary navigational pages they have no say on so those
pages you can go post the squeeze. Is the step we have taken and
      that is just fine.

Thanks, after I posted that I was trying to remember something I
        had read on that subject.

I'm about to start a new campaign at B/Y, but I was planning on using
a somewhat thin site rather than a straight squeeze.

That is also interesting because even G allows an optin on the landing
page. Just not so prominent, evidently.

        Thanks again...

I find them better than squeeze-pages, myself.

I do get a higher proportion of people opting in to pure squeeze pages, it's true; but in the long run, I actually make more income from the smaller lists built with an opt-in on a landing-page which "shows the site".

I think the easy mistake is to assume that whatever builds the bigger list is necessarily going to produce more long-term income. It's by no means necessarily true, because they may not be exactly the same people. I decided after split-testing this over several months for half of my (entirely unrelated) niches, when the result-proportions, compared with the profits, appeared to be almost the same from all the niches I tested, that I'd learned enough, for my own business, and I abandoned pure squeeze-pages altogether at that point.

I was approved by adwords for my squeeze page, you need to use the content network.
