Slow google indexing

Has anyone else noticed that Google is slow in indexing new pages since yesterday?

I find Google is not indexing new pages as fast it use to be earlier on blogs.

I pinged google less than 24 hours ago and it indexed a version of my index.htm that was over 48hrs old.

Not sure whats going on there.

I find Yahoo indexes much quicker

No special method.. I am talking about new blog posts on wordpress blogs..earlier Google was too quick to pick them by itself within minutes being posted..

I got a new page indexed overnight the other day. Was less than 12 hours. Try and submit the page to socialmonkee, it really helps the crawlers find it.

in googles new algorithm it checks all content and takes some time for indexing to avoid content farming
