What's the average time it takes for google adwords to review an ad?

I've been waiting 8 days now. Its for 1 ad using 3 exact keywords. Seems like it shouldn't take this long but I haven't used adwords much in the past so IDK.

Is there any way to speed it up?

    That does sound strange. I'm not entirely sure but I thought it was pretty instant. Also it is in Googles interest to do it as quick as possible because they will start making money off you.

    It can take longer than this unfortunately. Certain keywords and sites get manual reviews by certain specialist teams.
