    You need to build backlinks on high quality sites using your keyword as anchor text.

    Concernig keywords: you can use high-frequency or low-frequency words. For example choose about 10 high-frequency words and move on them. There are high traffic on them. Or choose about 40-50 low-frequency words and get the same traffic on them. Using high-frequency words is more difficult , because competition is higher. Try to use Semrush - it will help you with keywords.

    yep, backlinks backlinks and more backlinks is the way to go, the whole concept of good content is a hype, SEO wouldn't exist if google could really find good content.
    a backlink from wikipedia will get you authority and increase your keyword. so try to get authority backlinks, mass profile things just won't cut it in most cases
