Panda update and AMR's value

Has anyone who's used AMR as their primray link building vehicle seen a huge drop in rankings since the Panda update? I'm still seeing fresh posts that say AMR is the ticket.

Just want to make sure it still is helping before I buy?

Thanks,

Scott

    Hi Scott,

AMR is good but the database of thousands of directories is the question mark here.

I was warned 2 - 3 years ago that article directories would lose their effectiveness because they were being spammed with content that was absolutely worthless but being approved anyways.

So the question is: Does submitting to thousands of directories with no PageRank or TrustRank matter anymore?

The honest answer here from my view is a solid No.

Does that mean that article marketing is dead? Absolutely not. It's still a valid method of organic traffic generation and can and does help somewhat with rankings. It's just not the magic bullet that it used to be - especially not blasting 4,000 directories in one go.

I own AMR and the product is good but the interface is clumsy to say the least and I'm not sure how long development of this product might last.

I'm thinking of swapping over to Article Marketing Demon simply because the design is better and they don't seem to focus on blasting to thousands of (often dead) article directories like AMR. Their focus seems to be more on the few quality directories that are left.

On a separate note I only use products like AMR now and again for mass submissions. Apart from that I manually submit to EZA, Goarticles, Articlesbase and a few others for backlinking. Why? Because they're the only ones that I wind up seeing in my backlink reports in the long run.

    Hope that helps :-)

I think Nia hit the nail on the head - it's still useful if used for submissions to the quality article directories left, but less effective when used for massive blasts to dead article directories. It's all about constantly refining your list of directories. If you can automate a process that would otherwise take you a whole lot of time, then in my mind it's still worth the one time fee.

Automated submission will not helps you in getting good position on search engines. Its better if you do it manually.
