How would i go about doing this?

At the moment my pages are roughly 400 words in length and i try and have 1 keyword around 5-6 times inside it. I have just learned that you can target more than 1 keyword per page.

If i was too target 2 keywords per page would i just have 10-12 keywords sprinkled inside the 400 word article? Any tips or tricks would be mucho appreciated

I think 400 words for two keywords is not enought. Make your articles some longer.

Thanks for the reply Johnny. Do you think a 600 word article is fine or double it to 800?

Or maybe i could target 3 keywords = 15-18 appearances inside a 800 word article?

15-18 appearances? No, that's too many.

600 words at least would be a good measurement to target multiple keywords.

Use each keyword with a density of between 1%-4% and include them where you can in meta tags.

Format them if you can too.

Use Traffic Travis to measure your onpage setup.

Thanks for the replies guys. trytolearnmore, ok so that is too much. What do you suggest for targeting 3 keywords per page inside a 600-800 word article?

Dadamson, if i have 3 keywords and a 700 word article what number would you suggest for my keywords to pop up? How does say 4 times per keyword making a total of 12? More or less? Thanks for all your help upto now appreciated.

A great method of targeting multiple keywords is to find long tail keywords which also have shorter keyword within them, that way you are targeting twice the amount of keywords.

Eg. - best horse hair rugs available
also is targeting - horse hair rugs.

If you can make your titles, H1, etc to reflect this it gives good results in my experience.

        Cheers
