Proved to be the best toll for me....

A lot of people tend to forget that the keyword research portion of Market Samurai is free.

This, used along with Traffic Travis, provides most everything you need to research niche's at no cost.

You realize that that competition is for PPC ads?
You should be doing a completely different kind of competitor analysis on SERPs if you're talking SEO.

I completely agree. Nothing better than hearing it from the horse's mouth.

The other tools mentioned are awesome too, however, you must keep in mind that they are just a TOOL... They're only as good as the person that is using them. If you know what you're doing, you can make bank just using the Google Adwords Keyword Tool.

Thanks

The GAKT actually hides phrases from you. To people who don't know anything better, the GAKT seems find, but for people who have actually used a good keyword tool, the GAKT is horrible.

Once you got the keyword suggestion from the keyword tool (Google ad words) analyze yourself to pick the set of keywords (Low competition) which would be help you to get good traffic from search engines.

it's great! google adwords tool. but you can do a whole lot more with the google search engine itself like use commands to find allintitle figures to compare to data you get from the adwords tool. also note that the COMPETITION parameter in adwords tools is NOT for someone wanting orgranic traffic. it's for when you want to check which keywords to optimizise your adwords campaign for...keep this in mind. you'll do well.

Advantage of Google Adword Tool is that it shows exact and also broad searches results, also searches in different languages and country wise searches for any keyword. Wordtracker is also good keyword researching tool.

There are many of them. Google adwords keywords tool - really good, and also free. I think it's the best free service category. Paid services which I know are Market samurai, SpyFu, SEMRush, keywordspy. All of them have pros and cons, I depend on the price, so chose SEMRush, it's functions are enough for me.

Thanks

If you're looking to find how easy/hard it is to rank keywords in Google (which is really what keyword research is) I can 110% guarantee there is nothing better than Niche Finder: Niche Finder: Powerful, New Niche Marketing Software & Micro Keyword Tool

We're running a WSO for it and 100s of warriors can vouch that it is very good.

+1 to that brad...
BEST keyword research tool I ever invested in...
true it has some glitches here and there but that's the case with all softwares... plus, brad's team is always very quick with fixes... Its only been like 2 months since I bought this and I find time and time again to find it easier, faster, more reliable and capable of digging up good keywords than any other tool I know of... plus with the WSO brad just mentioned its really a no brainer...

Learn to get a feel for keywords, demographics and buying intent.

I personally like.

Traffic Travis
Market Samurai

But most of my research comes down too Google adwords tool.

Sometimes tools just create extra noise you dont need.

Especially when you have looked at 1000's of niches, you get a feel for what is right and what you can personally target.

When you know your own capabilities, then it changes a bit as you look at the data through new eyes.

just my experience...

Marc

As a tool for giving you search figures and CPC, yes, you essentially must use the GAKT, but if you're trying to find new keywords and need suggestions related to what you input, then it really isn't that great.

ive been using the GAKT for all of my keyword research and its good enough for what you need

the numbers in any keyword tool are never 100% accurate anyway

the GAKT does a good enough job

as google owns the GAKT then theres no way that any other tool can be more accurate than google them selves, so its kind a common sense to use googles own keyword tool
