What is the best SEO software that you use?

Hi.
I would like to know some of the best SEO software that you guys use...
because I want to invest in some SEO software...but before I do I would like to get your opinion on some of the best...then I will pick one to buy.

It probably depends on what do you focus on. You can often try the software for free.

I use WebCEO (free version) for things like onpage SEO and submissions and Market Samurai for KW research and linkbuilding. Both are very good.

  Where is this free version? All I see is a choice between web based ($49 month) or desktop version ($499). Nothing free about that.

  For me it is without a doubt Market Samurai. Yes, they have had one or two issues in the last few months with the keyword side of it, but it looks like this is coming right now.
  
  For me though, the true power of this software is in the SEO module. The ability to take any website in the world, and then see how they are getting their high PR backlinks is truly powerful. You can build a solid online business just on getting these high PR links to your site.

  Tim I don't remember how I get to it, it was before two years or so when I was searching for some free tools hardly. The problem is I don't get major updates for this free version so it is of little use anyway.

I use market samurai for SEOing, variety backlinks, research, etc. I think this also updated very regularly. I like it ..

  Software is just tools that could help your jobs. However It's all depend how you use it, you can use for white hat or even black hat.

i have tried a SUPER amount of automated software and become an expert user of near all of them. i would say the vast majority of software is a waste of money. i used some for almost two years. it's just not worth it really.

good software to use is things like seo spyglass. thats' one of my favorites. however, i am a firm believer that google does can and WILL catch up with mass automated efforts. i have seen this personally.

As TB says, for SEO research then MS is a great tool. It has a lot of features within the software that many overlook - Just like the PR analysis and backlinker feature that TB is referring to.

MS is a great tool and well worth looking into IMO..

If you are looking into link building software, then you are into a different arena. You will need to know what type of links you are after as well as how best to build your links for maximum effect. Senuke x is a great tool, but its only a tool. Its all in how you use the tool. nuke is expensive though.

You could also look into SEO link robot, this tool is a great software with more good features being added regurlarly. It is a cheaper alternative to nuke and a great tool to have.

there are just too many seo softwares in the market and they deliver different things in the SEO cycle.. I don't think you'll get good relevant suggestions here unless you specify what you want to use the software for?

do you need linkbuilding? seo analysis? keyword research?

I'm a big fan of high quality blog commenting, so Scrapebox wins for me. It helps me find the high PR posts that I comment on. Plus, it's got about a million other uses.

For pure keyword / SEO research you can use a combination of Market Samurai (The keyword module is free) and Traffic Travis. (To research your competition for free.)

I agree with some of the above posters that pointed out that the SEO game is way too complex for one piece of software. I suggest either partnering with someone and specializing in certain things, or outsourcing a lot of the stuff you will need expensive software for anyway. There are guys that are just so good at link building it is more efficient to use their skills (I am definitely not one of these people by the way).

Hello,
For analysing traffic, keywords, traffic costs, competition I use Semrush, because it's
database contains more than 60 million keywords for analysis, and also Top 20 American, German, Russian, Spanish, English and French versions of Google. What's more important for me, Semrush is cheaper than MS.
