Do you think Google really work on some Algorithm? Some time i feel google not properly fallow any algorithm. There are many site get promotion in sort of time without so much efforts and good content another side some website not gating good rank even they work heard on back link and his content. I have several of points they can clear my point.

1. Page Rank update -: Google not updating website page rank from the last one year some time i got the news through some other end about miner update. My question is that whey Google do miner update if he fallow some algorithm.

2. Keyword Ranking Update -: Some time Google provide good keyword ranking without good quality content.

3. Back link update :- No body knows whey Google choose some link as a back link.

I totally agree with you. And some websites spammed too much links, but not get penalty or being banned. It is very unfair. Sometimes, I'm tired of those theories.

    1. Google updated page rank Dec 2010-Jan 2011. The next PR update should be some time this summer probably at the end.

    2. Content doesnt matter, Google is a robot. I can spin a bunch of content and get it to rank better than someone that spends 4 hours writing the perfect article.

    3. Google chooses to put certain kinds of backlinks in their index based on how much PR the backlink has, what kind of site the backlink is coming from, and if the backlink has any content/text surrounding it. One reason profile backlinks are difficult to get indexed is that they have minimal text surrounding them and they are normally PRn/a and PR0 links. So if you are getting profile backlinks, good luck getting Google to "choose" them.

Google does work very hard on their algorithm in my opinion, but the algorithm is not human and therefore cannot see all the same things we can see.

It can tell for example if your content is duplicate (and by what %), but it can't tell if your article actually makes a lot of sense, or is well written from a "human perspective"

Yes, they do update their algorithm. If not, how can my sites climb the organic ranking?

I have around 8 sites and they are happily climbing the organic ranking ladders, so it must be because of their algorithm update.

Although they won't reveal the exact formula (and no one know) they do update the algorithm.

I definitely don't think it's based on algorithms.

A "friend" that used to work at Google told me there's this huge, secret room that no employees are allowed to enter. Once, he got a peek through the door just a little and was amazed at what he saw...

Thousands of elves...as far as his eyes could see! Seriously...Google must have visited all the magical places in the world, collected all of the elves, and put them to work as slave labor in Mountain View, CA. That's the only way a search engine like theirs could work, IMO.

    Poof---Magic! :-)

Its fact that Google is following a certain type of algorithm, No doubt; But, What is that algorithm that is not open or disclosed at any extent in front of the web world. This is the very crucial point in this SEO world. Isn't it! Every SEO experts raising their opinions are on behalf of what they experienced, Nothing else.

I don't follow. How are some sites penalixing their own duplicate content?? And unless you know something about the algorithm that we don't how do you know it is not working properly??

Google do use an algorithm and update it regurlarly. What you are experiencing is the fact that it is not perfect. Also it is not human and if it was it still would not be perfect.

At the end of the day Google have the upper hand and if you want to play in their house you must abide by their rules. Unfortunatley that is just the way it is at the moment.
