Whats the best/fastest way to get webpages indexed?

I managed to organise some .edu and .gov backlinks to my website, but they taking forever to get indexed by google.

    Submit your site in Google webmaster tool. It helps to get fast indexing. Besides it submitting in Digg also helps. Add sitemap as well.

    .. None of the ways above me are "fast." If you want to be indexed within 3-6 hours, just put the link in your WF sig, makes some forum posts and do a couple blog comments on popular blogs. Done.

    what you need is a link back to your new page from a high traffic page..
    so yes digg, stumble upon, most social media sites, WF sig, most other forum sigs, they all would work just fine...

    I have had great success using the methods below. Typically my sites are indexed within a few hours, 24 hours tops in most cases.

    Do this..

    1. Go to Is My Site Indexed? - and enter in your URL. Once submitted, view all of the pages listed at the very bottom by clicking on them. You will see the links at the bottom of the page. You dont need to do anything here, just open each in a new window.

    2. Submit your URL to DIGG and REDDIT. Oh, and TWITTER

    3. Submit your site to the 3 major search engines.

    URL Submission - Bing
    Site Explorer - Submit
    Add your URL to Google

    4. Ping your URL

    Blog and Ping Tool - Use Pingler.com to Drive Traffic your Blogs and Websites
    Blog and ping | Pingoat

    5. Grab a cup of coffee, or in my case, tea (Very important)

    My "trick" is to create a new Twitter account and include the URL I want "found" in the profile. To date this has worked like crazy fast, same day in many cases. Google likes to FIND things, it seems to value finding over being told. Try it out, create a NEW twitter profile and link it to the site you want indexed. Let me know how you make out.

    my last wp blog was indexed after 30mins, i'm using YT vids with link in desc +identi.ca + few more popular bookmarking sites, also in site content i'm linking to YT and Wikipedia (heard somewhere that it can help ) of course pinging all (pingler.com or pingomatic.com)

      Putting the URL of your site in any of your twitter posts will get your site recognized and index very quickly, as Google bots crawl this site all of the time.
