Try looking to the left side of your Google results page to see if it gives you an option to put a different location and try any USA city and state. You should also see the location option in the search settings which may be accessed in the upper right of your Google search page by clicking on the gear/flower or whatever that thing is next to the "sign in".

Once you are in the search settings page and you change your location, go to the bottom and click the save preferences button. You can also get rid of the annoying "instant search" option while on the settings page and you can increase your SERPs from 10 to 100 (if you like).

Are you sure about if your IP is always staying in UK IP address? I may meet this kind of problem sometimes, cause I need change my IP sometimes!

It's been doing this in my country for a long time already. If you want only google.com results in Firefox, do the following:

In the top right corner of Firefox where you have the search engines drop-down list, click on the small down arrow on the left of the box, and then select Manage Search Engines right at the bottom of the list that appears. This will open a new dialog box. At the bottom of this dialog box, click on the link called "Get more search engines...".

A new browser page will open with firefox add-ons. In the search box at the top, type in the following: "English language-specific Google search" and click the arrow next to the box or press Enter. You can select either the 'always ".com" - Google.com (in English)' or the 'Google (Language: EN)' plugins. Click on the "Add to FireFox" button, download and install - you'll most probably have to close and re-open firfox for it to take effect.

You might have to move your new search engine setting to the top of the search engines drop-down list in the top right corner of Firefox.
