Google is frustrating

I've been advertising with Google ever since Google offered advertising. I never ever had any issues with them or getting my sites banned. Recently all my product web sites got banned, even non product web sites. They told be my site violated there terms and conditions. I asked them what exactly in my site violated there terms and conditions. They said all of our terms and conditions can be found here and send me to a link with hundreds of terms and conditions.

I threw up my hands and canceled my Google account. I never ever had any issues with yahoo ads. For some reason Google has some major OCD issues with content from there advertisers.

Look at 2 of my sites and tell me what terms I violated since Google wont give me a straight answer

    Google is an independent company that doesn’t care about your problems. Unfortunately your story is very common; you are not alone.

    I send traffic to my websites through article writing, Squidoo lenses and other free methods because I have a certain knowledge and I’m a writer. I wasted money with Adwords and I saw that I had to get organized if I wanted to win this battle. I stopped using it for good. I don’t like ads. I prefer articles for many reasons. I need organic traffic.

    Google is very indifferent. Don’t waste your time with this matter.

      I think the first issue is you need to have a privacy policy, terms, and contact pages with active links to then. I didn't see any on the first site and the links weren't active on the second.

      I had the same problem a couple years ago and they gave me the same cold shouder... it is very frustrating. I remember asking the same question.... where am I violating your terms... and they sent me to the same place they sent you.

      They really, really don't care. No company should be that powerful.

    They absolutely couldn't care less.

    Long story short...

    They banned my account a month or two ago because of 4 ads that I ran 5 years ago (the ads ran less than one day.) There was nothing wrong with the ads and they were 100% acceptable.

    This year, Google decided they didn't like those websites anymore and banned my account since I ran an ad for those site.

    Those were affiliate offers directly to the sales pages (yes, I know, build a list instead... but this was when I was first learning.)

    I have no way to change those pages since they aren't mine and google doesn't care that it was ok 5 years ago.

    Been on the phone with them 5 or 6 times and 15-20 emails.

    Makes no difference.

    Good luck identifying what they don't like. They are very vague on that stuff.

    They pretty much want people to pay for ads to get traffic to informational sites that do not monetize anything. Makes real sense, doesn't it!?!

    As everyone else says, Google really doesn't care, which is unfortunate.

    Though I'm sure they'd be happy to help you if it relates to PPC advertising. Google is a business.

      What I don't get isn't the advertisers the backbone of Google? Without advertisers how would Google profit from YouTube and there other internet properties?

        Well, not quite. Google's traffic is the backbone of their business and they gained that traffic through having the most relevant search results (at least to begin with). Without that, they would have nothing to monetize.

        Also, there will pretty much always be advertisers... but if they don't manage their search engine well, they can lose their traffic.

    I dont know here....seems everyone in this thread is bashing Google, but look at the pages given.

    Youre obviously hiding your contact details behind a sales page.

    Seems a bit unethical to me.

    Could that be why?????

        Contact details, not content. Either way, I dont know, I'm only guessing....have you read their TOS in detail?

        Also, your site holds very little in terms of providing quality content. I have a saying ..."Give Google what they want, and you get what you want"

        If you want to use Google as an advertising medium, then you'll obviously have to make some changes.

        In this case however, it may be too late.

    Google has really started banning sites for stupid reasons if you ask me. Yes, they are trying to clear a lot of junk out of their search engines, etc but while they are doing it they are messing up a lot of honest businesses. The good thing is that you can do many things online in terms of advertising that does not have anything to do with Google and still be very successful in your endeavors.

    There is always another way.

    Well, I just clicked on your site and my Webroot Spy Sweeper popped up saying they were "blocking access" to the site because "CPA Lead" is associated with Malware.

    I know Google does not appreciate such warnings for sites, so...

    Your sites have next to nothing on them.

    Your "noise" site is a single page of sound files with a cloaked link to the other site, which in turn is a single (very nicely designed and well-written) page selling something.

    It looks very much like your "noise" site exists for the sole purpose of linking to your sales page and influencing its rankings.

      The white noise machine web site is a free tool for people to use. The other site is mine also and I created that for revenue purposes so I can pay for my relaxingnoise web site hosting fees.

      My purpose for the relaxing noise site is to make it simple and clean like Google it's not some bait and switch site to promote affiliate offers

    Google is doing the right thing to protect the advertisers and other publishers who ARE following the terms and policies of Google.

    Google is right to be hard on people who doesn't follow their rules (or even spending time to read them and complain in forums) because it will hurt the rest of us.

    Everything is simple; just read the terms & policies and follow them!

    I claim to be no expert on this subject, however I could not not find a visible "privacy policy" URL at the least on your homepage at the time I posted this message on here. Also, I noticed that the "privacy policy" and "terms of use" URLs that are visible on your other associated directory of your homepage are both non-clickable (doesn't take a user to an applicable webpage on your site, where appropriate legal terms can be read and understood by a user). So basically you need to have at the least a Privacy Policy Page that is clickable and applicable on every single page of your website that leads to an actual "Privacy Policy" and (Terms of Use and Disclaimer Page if need be) on your Website, Webpage, or Blog if you want to play it safe with Google. As well, your "Privacy Policy" should include the applicable legal terms as set forth with "Googles Advertising Cookie and Privacy Policies". I encourage you to review "Googles Advertising Cookie and Privacy Policies" if you haven't already and other associated guidelines that they require from Adsense Publishers. Cheers!

      I'm not a lawyer nor do I have the money to pay a lawyer to write such policies. How do they expect the everyday webmaster to create such legal documents?

        From a quick look, it appears as though your site is just a single page site which links to a sales page. There is hardly any information and content is very bare. There is also no privacy page or contact us as mentioned by another poster.

        If your main site had some quality content with a few links to the sales page as well as a privacy and contact us, you might have a better chance.

    The only thing I can see wrong is the fact that the sites are "thin content" in nature. If you put up more pages of content and a link to newly created blog, privacy policy, terms conditions, contact information, then you should be straight.

    So unless you're one of googles top spenders, they are going to expect more out of you in terms of a quality site than the big name brands holding onto the top bidding positions. In the meantime keep your ctr's high so your bids will be low and work on building up the site into more of a full site than a sales page.
