I'm jumping in, both feet with a goal of making $48,000 net in the next 24 months. I couldn't know less about Adsense unless I didn't know what it was called but I am going for it anyway. My first question is... Wordpress or Blogger... and why?

Neither (assuming you are referring to wordpress.com)

Wordpress hosted on your site is what you want as Blogger and WordPress.com aren't very friendly towards marketing.

Self hosted Wordpress all the way baby!

The no1 reason why is because you own it. Blogger accounts get shut down if they suspect you've set it up and have a evil agenda (i.e. making money!)

Self hosted Wordpress has tons more advantages as well, like superior SEO, access to thousands of free and paid plugins you can instantly plugin to your site.

    Hope this helps

Never put your business model in the hands of another. Never give any site any substantial amount of content that hasn't been reviewed by one of their employees. Otherwise you risk it all going to waste.

So many sites that host content will, and always do, eventually screw you over. People who created content on Ning lost it all due to the service going "paid". People who created articles on Hubpages lost all the backlinking benefit due to "Nofollow" being added. People hosting their blogs on blogger.com or wordpress.com have their blogs repeatedly shutdown for no good reason (as others have said, simply for making money).

Never, ever, give another website free content unless you know it's going to result in a high page rank backlink or free advertising. There's never any other point on giving another site free content. Put it on your own site. Why help other websites if they spit in your face? All of them will eventually, I promise you.

Use wordpress.com and blogger as backlinks engines
However, don't spam them because they will shut you down.
