Adwords search volume question

Okay quick question:

I have found some longtail keywords that convert well...but the search volume is low.

I have dabbled with Adwords in the past but the system always seems to put up a fuss when ever you bid on a keyword that doesn't get a lot of volume:

"Your ads aren't showing right now because of low search volume"

Or something similar...

Well obviously some people are finding my website through the use of these keywords naturally... If I throw a bunch of lower volume or long tail keywords into the adwords system will it give me searches even if it thinks search volume is low?

If I could even get five or ten extra finds per day with these keywords it would be great, so I want to use adwords to do that.

Any ideas anyone? Is it an uphill battle using low volume keywords and adwords?

I'm a firm believer in including keywords even when AdWords says the search volume is too low.

To test this, just type in one of the search terms they say is too low to display, and you'll see your ad appear. (If you don't hit "refresh" and it's likely to show up. With that said, as long as there is a search or two per month (assuming you have a quality score above "2"), it's worth bidding on.
