Quick Internal Linking Question

In terms of SEO is it helpful to set an internal link in your content body to point to the page it is located on?

It seems a bit spammy, but maybe it would help in terms of ranking better in the SERPS.

Anyone have experience with this?

    Do you mean linking from example.com/post-name.html to example.com/post-name.html (the same page)? I don't think this will have any SEO benefits unfortunately.
