As far as SEO goes, how will using a normal HTML frontpage, and wordpress for the rest, affect my overall SEO "score"?

Is wordpress installed on the same server as the homepage?

Do you link your homepage to the Wordpress blog and vice versa?

Wordpress will be installed on the same server and I will use a script to create a "Recent Articles" box on the homepage that will link to the blog part.

Wordpress is great for SEO purposes. If you use a standard HTML website, just make sure that yuo use css and div's instead of tables. Also, avoid having too much javascript in your HTML pages.

Ranking the front page isn't one of my priorities that's why I'm using a custom direct response type front page and I am gonna try and rank as many as the "articles" as possible.

The page has very little js on it, just a small lightbox.

    Any more opinions?
