Hi warrior I'm thinking of buying the SEO PowerSuite tool for doing seo on my blog http://about-beautifulkenya.blogspot.com . Can you tell me if it is worth it? Is it really going to help my blog rank #1 in google?

Seo powersuite is more of an analysis tool, it can give you ideas about backlinks, but it won't get you the actual backlinks

You can see the actual backlinks through analytics tools which are available online, you just need to choose which one suits your website. You can also use Yahoo Site Explorer to see the number of pages linking to your site and the inlinks. Note that the number of pages can be unequal to your number of inlinks (backlinks) because a page can have more than 1 link to your site. Just go to Yahoo.com type "link:www (dot) yourdomainname (dot) com" on search box then enter.

I use the free version of it. I am not sure about the link assist if that's why you are buying it. I know the seo spyglass and ranktracker are very useful.

Same here, the SPyglass and Rank tracker are used all the time. If you are going to buy I would wait until they run a special because you can save about half off the price.

I have to agree that spyglass and ranktracker are useful. I own the whole suite but those are the only two programs I use on a regular basis.

If your site has less than 1k links I would just go with the free version for now, no since on paying to upgrade until you need to.

SEO Power Suite is not a link building tool. If you really want to buy a tool, buy ScrapeBox

SEO PowerSuite is a good SEO tool, but you can do it manually, it is much better.

I have seo power suite pro, I have gained 11 backlinks 3 of which are relevant to my sites content, for a new site with no PR, simply use the link submission form option in link-assistant software as these will most likely link back to you, after you have got good PR, send link exchange request emails to get on sites with higher PR, I'd also like to mention that it is also completley SE friendly!

Why is manual "better"? Especially in this case?

Can you run all the checks that spyglass runs manually? Yes you can but it checks all the search engines at once from one place with the push of a button and gives you a HUGE amount of information about those links and the pages they come from. If you have any number of links it could take you hours or even days to get all this info manually.

How is that "better" Especially when there is a FREE version that you can use and works well if you have a small (less than 1k) number of links.

I know some people have a phobia about automation but we are not even talking about link building here. Let go of the fear and save yourself some time and energy.
