Backlink Plan with Web 2.0 sites

I have a plan, but I wanted to see if you guys had thoughts on what I'm doing. I'm looking for validation or suggestions.
I've been asked to work on a project on a site that has a lot of great content. Massive amounts of content, but selected original content is on Squidoo and points back to the relevant page on the site. It's all just so good, I'd hate not to use it. They have dozens and dozens of lenses and they are all professional.
I am thinking to interlink, say 12 of the lenses that relate to the keywords they want to rank for and build tiers to each lens. I have successfully used multi tiers of web 2.0 sites and then used High PR blog post, comments, more Web 2.0 blogs, social bookmarking and RSS aggregators to feed the juice.
My only thought is that I haven't used existing Squidoo lenses in this way. Anyone have feedback, thoughts or suggestions?
