Is Google ALWAYS knocking one of your sites?

It seems that no matter what I do google always picks one of my websites and decided to knock it off the first page. I have about 30 sites that I am continually doing link building for and adding content to (no autoblogs, I hate those things)

It seems every week one site will go from lots of traffic and making $20 a day to barely any traffic and making $1 a day. I will work hard to get that site back up to where it was, and once I do google will knock down another site.

Is it just me?

No, it's not just you. This is a constant battle and trying to keep up just sucks.

Why can't G just settle down and stop being so damn volatile?

In an effort to learn from those who are where I want to be, what exactly do you do to fight it? What kind of links? How many? Do you write your own content, or farm it out?

I've just had nearly all my sites, both the thin ones and the big ones blown out the water by this latest Panda update on 16/17 June.

Gone from 150+ per day on Adsense down to 60 bucks, not to mention the lost Amazon revenue.

All my sites are unique content, pages of at least 5-600 words. I had my best two with 20-30 pages in the top 10, now down to 1-2 per site. This Panda thing was supposed to remove crap sites with dupe content, content farms etc. I'm none of those!!!

Hoping things will bounce back in a week or two.

Google is Google. SEOers will always be fighting G because they don't want us to manipulate search engine results. They update their algos all the time so it will most likely always be an uphill battle. This is the fun of SEO!
