Getting PR is easier than I thought!

I heard about the update and checked some of my authority style sites. These are ones that I continue to build links to and add content too, also building links to internal pages.

Started March 1st - PR3
Started April 4th - PR2
Started April 21st - PR1

I checked some niche sites I started around the same times and a few of them are even PR1 with links from directories, social bookmarking and a handful of article submissions.

I was always so intimidated by sites with PR2-3 but knowing I can get a PR3 site in 3-4 months gives me a new confidence boost. I used to back down when I saw competition with PR3, not anymore!

    I wouldn't even back down from a PR6, unless it had like a thousand high PR backlinks pointing at it.

    You can find a lot of high PR pages that have very few high PR backlinks pointing at them, that actually boost their PR.

    Just because it's a high PR page doesn't mean it can't be beaten in the SERPs, sometimes with little work. You just have to do the research, which doesn't take that long to do.

      Good to know Yukon. I learned that with that PR1 site I am working on. The front page has a bunch of PR4-5 sites with about 10 000 + backlinks. The thing is a lot of the sites have backlinks from images (buttons in sites blogrolls) and like 2000 links all from one site. When I saw that I figured with some good anchor text backlinks I could beat them no prob!

      It only took me two months to hit the bottom of the first page (only for one day but it was sweet, steady spot on the top of the second page though) for a keyword that has over 150 000 searches a month!

      Before I was picking the easy low hanging fruit, but lately i have been taking on larger beasts and it is starting to be very rewarding, I had a $70 day from the PR3 website the other day

    i dont think i've even looked at the PR for any sites i've made the last few years. All this PR talk is making me curious haha

    Don't bother too much with PR. This is only one from 2000 or more ranking factors. Google guys confirmed that on the beginning of this year.
