Getting Backlinks Question...

My PR on my website is currently 4 with over 49 backlinks. As I continue getting backlinks, am I supposed to only focus on getting backlinks with at least a PR of 4 or higher or just keep getting backlinks of at least a PR of 1?

The higher the PR the better. But if you can get a link surrounded by content that is relevant to your website and the keywords you target then go for it.

PR isn't everything when it comes to backlinking.

you should have a variety of links from different sources and different PR (link variety) and use different timing (link velocity) so that your link building looks natural. Use a variety or anchor text with your keywords eg "warrior forum", "warrior forum blog", "warrior forum help desk" etc

There is absolutely no problem with getting higher PR backlinks. But remember, naturally online you will have significantly more PR0 backlinks then you will PR1. This pattern continues all the way up to PR10 (which you would be lucky to get close to... maybe). So if your having some higher PR backlinks pointed to your site, make sure you mix in some lower ones as well so that everything looks natural.

I couldn't respond to the message but I get backlinks simply from searching for blogs on google and blogging.

Nope, Google doesn't acknowledge back links unless they are from pages with at least a PR of 3, and those thousand of links with PR 0-2 will be useless...

Are you sure? How did you know that? Any official confirmation from Google?

I have found it is generally easier to index higher page rank pages but you want to get a variety of links so it looks natural.

In my opinion, every backlink counts. The higher the PR the better, but you want to have backlinks from all over the web.

Yes, you can use any pr but higher the pr better the ranking of your site but if low pr then try to build too many links for that to equalize pr value.

remember to be natural and have a mixture.

when i experiemented a few years ago when I changed and did a mix of dofollow and nofollow I went up the rankings very quickly.
