Question - How To Get Higher PR?

Hey,

can anyone help me? I made a website which I want to get on the first spot in Google. I think everyone wants that.

However, I was in spot #3 and suddenly I'm on #4. There are two sites before my site. My site's got around 450 backlinks (this says Yahoo page LInks) and SEO Spyglass says something about 520. The sites above my one have 80 backlinks in Yahoo page LInks for the keyword I wanna rank for, and in SEO Spyglass there isn't more backlinks than my site's got.

Aslo I've got quite a few backlinks from pages with PR 2,3,4. When comparing these 3 sites, it seems my website's got more backlinks from higher PR pages. However, the page rang for my website is 0 and the page rank for those two site is 2 and 3. What happened?

How is it possible? My backlinks are stronger and my PR is lower. The age of the domain is quite the same for the site #1 and my one.

Can Anyone help me to improve it? Or can you help me with getting high PR for my site? Any recommendations?

    Hi Uhereks, it's really hard to say without the url and the keywords. But anyway SEO is not maths, and you can't say for sure that that a certain PR or a certain number of backlinks can secure you #1 spot. So, keep working on building first-rate backlinks - that's the only sure-fire way.
