Site with 100 visitors/day

My niche site has been climbing the 1st page of google, now ranked #4, currently getting about 80-100 vistors a day. I think the traffic will at least double when I hit #1 or #2.

With that amount of vistors, should I be expecting any adsense revenue yet? Have just got a couple of ads under each post, and had a couple of clicks so far.

This is my first SEO site, I don't want to waste time on it if it's not going to make anything!
#100 #site #visitors or day

Depends on the site layout/theme. And how much you make will greatly depend on the niche. That being said though you should get between 1 and 10 clicks per 100 visitors, on average. the number has a lot to do with how your ads are placed and things like that.

      Visitor intention is key.

I have a site that is informational in nature (sort of a reference guide site), and I get between 200 and 250 visitors per day. I have Adsense on it and it might make a buck a day if I'm lucky (I'm usually not).

If your site is informational, you are not likely to get many clicks (there are exceptions to this rule, though).

Desperate people are more likely to click on random links. Shoppers, too! When you target desperate shoppers and create content that brings them in, you may be on to something.

But, then again, if you are bringing in desperate shoppers, why would you want them to click on Adsense? Why not just sell them what they are there to buy?

I would agree. Additionally, Adsense takes a lot of traffic to generate good consistent income. However, moving up in any niche on Google rankings is a great thing! I would do some directory submissions and build some good quality external links from authority sites. You could see your traffic jump tremendously.

Couldn't agree more. I have a site that's ranked #1 for the main keyword yet it only has about a 3% CTR, and that's with a theme that gets me near 20% CTR on another mini / micro niche keyword.

Because of the small adsense income I'm making on this decent traffic I'm going to try and drive that traffic to Amazon since it's a product type of niche.

My point is if you don't get what you want from adsense clicks, experiment with something else like Amazon, or whatever.

        Good luck!

Ahh I see. Yes my site is very informational.

I'm going to switch focus to an affiliate product, sounds like that's the best way to go.

        Thanks for the tips guys!

It would depend on the type of content that your website has..

    Hi

Before you built the site, you should already know what to monetize your site with. Whether it is adsense, CPA or amazon or others.

For adsense, it is essentially you check the CPC and number of advertisers to make your site worth your time and investment

  • I hate to make an example of my website :L ...BUT, I get just around 150 visitors per day and I'm making a little bit of money. So yes 100 is definitely enough to make a little bit, but don't expect too much.

In order to get maximum CTR make a banner accross the top of your site and make sure it's an image. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS! Also, try and place a text only ad going down the side of your site, although the CTR may not be high for these you will make plenty from these because text ads pay the most. But don't be disheartened if the CTR for the side ads are low because your CTR will be highered majorly by the banner accross the top. Oh and by the top I don't mean way at the top, I mean just below the navigation bar. I really hate to advertise my site, but if you want to see what I'm talking about then just look at mine and hopefully this should help a bit

I don't usually comment on other people's sites but I just wanted to say your site is a fine example of something that is simple, informative and straight forward. Not only that, but you seem to be taking the right steps to building traffic and popularity. Thanks for your tips, they were very helpful!

If I were you, I would go for Affiliate Offers and maybe CPA, not Adsense... atleast don't use ONLY Adsense - it's always better to have different offers such as freebies to build your list, affiliate offers, your products (if you have any), CPA offers and finally, Adsense.

Also, try to get the site up to rank 1, if you're already rank 4 it shouldn't be a problem, add some more fresh content and maybe build a couple of links and you should be there. Is your site well optimized On-page?

    Cheers,
