Variation Is Everything

Just a quick note from me;

I see far too many people here preaching what backlinks that think WORK and what backlinks DON'T WORK.

Here's the deal...

Every single site is different, what works for some WON'T work for others.

Mass profile linking may work really well for one person and really badly for another, this depends on:

Your exisiting backlinks,
Your competitions existing backlinks,
Your websites age,
The way you are creating the profile links,
Your hosting accounts,
+ countless other factors.

The fact of the matter is that these days (especially since Panda) Google is looking for naturally appealing websites.

It's never about how many backlinks you have, it's about the quality, it's about the source, it's about the creation dates, etc.

Ranking is also about how many visitors you get, how long they stay on your pages for (yes this counts!), etc.

So how do you overcome all these factors?

Simple, you need to be smarter than your competitors and you need to create your backlinks how you think they would be created naturally by REAL people if you want any success.

So next time you think of doing a blast of 1000 profile links on the same day, think about it, would that happen naturally?

Maybe.

Would it happen without anything else going on (social shares, article marketing, press releases, etc)?

Doubt it.

So by all means, backlink like crazy, but backlink smart
