Building backlinks....?

Alright, I want to know what exactly do people use to build large quantities of backlinks? I know the methods such as article submission, blog commenting, forum profiles etc, but do you actually go around the blogs or forums to create one or two backlinks which may or may not even get approved? Most blogs I find arent even do follow... Do you write 500 word articles just to get a couple of backlinks from them?

The most efficient way for me right now is SocialMonkee and that is pretty much my only reliable tool at the moment... I am looking for solid ways to build backlinks.

Large amounts of back-links are good but ONLY if they are Quality and built over times. .EDU back-links are very good to get as well as High PR back-links. Find blogs related to your content and post useful paragraph long responses for best results and avoid one sentence generic lines like "Nice Blog dude."

There are softwares but abuse on the number of backlinks generated in a short period of time can cause more harm then good.

It's more of a myth.. of course, I guess a myth is also b.s. so nevermind.

But I enjoy the myths. I hope my competitors study every myth out there and just give up on building back links.

The thing is I've tested that theory many times over the years and I'm willing to bet that most of the people who say it haven't.

Yeah, I agree. Using that logic about getting too many backlinks - really popular news stories that gets lots of back links quickly would be "sand boxed" regularly and thus make Google almost useless on hot issues/searches.

Building backlinks quickly is only bad if you create the same types of links and dont have a lot of keyword variation in the anchor text. If you have good link variety, keyword variety and are consistent in your link building you will have no problems. I create $19K worth of backlinks in one month for my site and got it ranked in 3 weeks and was never deindexed or sandboxed. The key is to look natural and you will have no problems getting ranked.

The secret is diversity in the types of links you get and not so much the quantity. But yes, articles can be used for traffic, but also as another way to get a back link.

That's what I do. Find some high-PR Wordpress blogs with Scrapebox and then just manually write quality comments which usually get accepted by the adminstrators of the blogs. That gives my website some high quality backlinks

They use social bookmarking software like Bookmarking Demon, article software like Article Marketing Robot, blog commenting software like Scrapebox, and profile backlink builders like Xrumer. There's a lot of software out there for different purposes.
