Gmail.. Should we be cautious?

Hi All,

Forgive me if this has been discussed a thousand times already.. It is midnight and am damn tired after reading a ton of information from various interesting posts. So excuse me.

Just wondering if our mails in the gmail account will crawled? If I mail someone regarding buying a link, I know google is capable enough to chuck the site out of search but has anyone had any such experience? Seriously.. I cant find anyother way by which google can find that I paid for my backlinks.

Just did some link exchanges today and hope my sites dont spit on my face for doing that.

Now I am also scared that if my sites in the signature will be in soup if I post something in link exchange forum...

Hope this explains how you guys managed to scare the **** out of me
