Does anybody see any problem with taking the link pyramid one step further by adding a personal domain network into the mix?

Naturally there would be the problem of having the sites on the same hosting account, but that could still be avoided.

EX:

my theory is just based off of the idea that relevant domain homepage links would be QUITE valueable..

    If you are going to build a private blog network you need to be hosting on separate C-class IPs as well as using unique nameservers if possible, otherwise you are going to leave a footprint.

    Home page backlinks are some very powerful ones at the moment, as that is how the Russian Viagra spammers are ranking their sites if you dig into their backlink profiles.

    there are tons of successful sites that do this... its probably one of the most used strategies however there are some things you need to consider

    1. the tier2 domains need to be high PR for it to be effective. A whole bunch of newly registered domains isnt going to help much

    2. as kaedus said, you need separate hosting, ips, namesevers and etc, otherwise google will catch it

    3. Buying up high PR domains is expensive for your tier2. each domain will run you between $20 and $1000 each depending on the PR you focus on. This can easily rack up costs fast for a private network


    your best bet is a homepage co-op network like kaedus said. They take all the cost and work out of building the network and they are really affordable and do exactly what you just described

      I was considering IX - but from what I have seen they go down a little to often for my tastes.. Maybe I could get three different babycroc accounts with hostgator to solve the nameserver and c-class ip problem all at once.

      I'm thinking of icing the cake by setting up the accounts using a proxy in scrapebox's internal browser to take it a little further, but i'm not sure if that is 100% necessary.
