Hey there

I was curious, I've read a lot of things about adsense sites and just wondering... if you find an exact match domain with decent to high searches and high click value, do you automatically buy it or do you check google competition first?

Thanks!

Competition will always be a primary factor for SEO.

A domain done have an impact on SEO rankings but secondary to other things such as;-
    - Good on page seo
    - Backlinks
    - PR
    - Domain age

The advantage however of an exact match domain is you might get some type in traffic.

If you can find an EMD with a decent amount of traffic (you will have to decide for yourself what is decent) then take a look at the competition. Depending on your skills, you will have to decide what you can handle. It also depends on how you plan to monetize. Is this going to be a MFA site? Is the CPC high? You have a solid CPA offer that you are going to run? If the payout is going to be high, then you can afford to invest more into the site.
