is there a website where you can put in your url to your site and the keywords you are trying to rank for and find out what page of google you are on?

    Type in "keyword rank" on Google and the first several results are good ones.

    Personally, I find SEO applications much better suited for this type of work. Many of them can be had for under $100, and are absolutely essential when dealing with large sites. I've tried a dozen of these programs (Market Samurai, Traffic Travis, SERP Attacks, SEO Powersuite, etc..). I found the best to be TT or SEO Powersuite(bit expensive).

      I disagree with you.

      Most rank tracking software does not have a monthly fee. This means that once they stop getting new customers they will have less money to work on their product. So when Google makes a change to how it shows results, these software programs will be slower to update.

      For instance MarketSamurai used to be a lot better when it first launched, because it was getting lots of new customers so it had lots of money to work on updates. However now that there are less new customers, and less new money, they are spending less money on fixing bugs and the product is getting worse and worse.

      However websites that provide ranking (like SeScout) will update quicker since everybody there pays each month.

    I have had great success with the free version of SERP Attacks

    SEO Powersuite's Rank tracker is good but it is not very accurate in my opinion

        make sure you download the free version I have been using SERP ATTACKS for the last six months and it beats the hell out of Rank Tracker from SEO POWERSUITE and IBP ( what I used to use before)

    You can use SeoMoz checker, but then you need to eb a pro member for using full features, meanwhile I'll suggest SEO Powersuit
