I'm a lead generator trying to record the incoming calls for a client of mine. Our contract runs where I charge him for every call to a certain telephone number (routed). I do not charge him for calls from telemarketers, wrong numbers etc.

Our agreement is as such:

I charge him for every call and when a call comes in that isn't a lead gen call (telemarketers, wrong numbers as stated above) he logs the time and number and then reports them to me at the end of the week. I need a recording system to record these phone calls (needs to be in compliance with state and federal call recording laws) so that I can play the back the calls he logged to make sure they are, indeed, calls I should not charge him for. Also, he uses a cell phone.

I have only been able to find one company that offers a product like this: recordiapro. Compare Products; Call Recording from RecordiaPro

They charge around 20 cents per minute which, for me, is too much. Does anyone else know of another company that offers a similar product?

I bought a device that I could record my calls and it cost me less than $100. I plugged it into my phone line and could turn it on or off depending if I needed it. I don't use it any more and can't remember what it is called.

But I did find this one with a little research at about the same price. Best Call Recorder $89! Risk Free, Overnight Shipping!
Be advised that Windows Media Player will pop up to give you some details on their product.

    Hope this helps.

I really need software instead of hardware. I'm in the type of business that passing out hardware to all my customers who I need to record their phone calls isn't viable.

I appreciate the suggestion though. If I am looking for hardware in the future (which is a definite possibility) I will make sure to revisit that product.

      Any other suggestions?

Take a look at Call Trunk. I downloaded their free iPhone app to use when I have a need to record business calls & it works great. Their website says they work on ANY phone, so it might be worth checking out.

I want to extended some thanks your way. I was going to work with recordiapro.com because they were the only service I could find. They were going to charge me $300 a month for 1000 minutes, a local number and call recording. Hostednumbers charged me $8.95 for the same thing.

      Auradev, you da man.

    Hi Xebekn,

What you need is a phone switch, they are expensive. You may want to look for a hosted phone switch service. Do a search for "hosted pbx providers", you should find many options available.

Why would you even need to record calls?

Just offer a simple service, that would be better.
