Keyword in last sentence

Does having your main keyword in the last sentence make much difference as to whether your site gets ranked well or not?

I have a site which is about 4-5 months old. For weeks now it hasn't been anywhere in the top 20 pages on Google for it's main keyword and im trying to figure out why. A few weeks ago, it was ranked on page 2.

Today I noticed that SEO Pressor said the keyword isn't in the last sentence on the main page, so I added the keyword in the last sentence.

Could the site still be doing the Google dance? Someone told me that after a site is a few months old it should no longer be doing the dance.

    Hi cooler1,

It sounds like your page is facing superior competition.

When your page was ranked on page 2 it was most likely benefiting from the temporary boost of QDF. Once that boost wore off it dropped to its' currently earned position. You need to get busy promoting your page by building high value backlinks.

The thing is, there is a site on page 1 for the keyword which has only 3 reviews and just 2 backlinks, so whatever reason it is doesn't seem like it's due to the competition being superior.

I think having your keyword in the last sentence is beneficial in most cases... But, it's not the single thing that is going to boost your spot 10 spots. On page can only go so far..

Just keep hammering your site with quality backlinks and you're money.

What he said. With good backlinking you can rank a page for a keyword that isn't even found ON the page - it's the way Google has worked since day one and will probably continue to. So all things being equal, sure, knock yourself out with the keywords in the last sentence, but I personally don't obsess over this stuff too much.

Hey, wait, tell you what, I have a page I am working on still at no. 14 somewhere. I will go add the keywords to the last sentence and see if it jumps 5 places and report back

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

Firstly i do not believe for a single second that having the back link in the last part of an article is beneficial in any way what so ever. As long as the link is within the article it really doesn't have a difference, at least this is from my own personal experience.

Take a look at this post i just made, hopefully it will help you a little.

DO you have to promote every single page on your site? I have about 5 pages that are already about 5 or 7 spot on the first page. Will they fall off after a while? What should I do to keep them there aside from link building? Or is link building everything? Thanks btw

No one knows the exact algorithm of google. Difficult to say precisely.

But your keyword appears only once at the end on it?
It was shown that the article is not related to that keyword.
    What do you think?
