It depends on how much competition your keyword has. You can get there, for sure...but the amount of competition determines how fast it will be.

Use long tail keywords. To find said long tail keywords, go to http://www.freekeywords.wordtracker.com and type in a general keyword.

      Organic Listing:
Being on the first page is like asking how long is piece of string. It depends on the keywords being used by the customer and how many others are using the keywords. You then need to get the Search Engines sniffing your site.

      Paid Listing:
Google adwords will definitely put you up there and immediately. But the competition will determine how much it will cost you to be there. So Long Tail Keywords will most certainly be the way to go, downside, less traffic.

A smaller piece of the pie is going to get you better traffic anyway.

Create a web page with valid keywords/phrases and should link to the site to which you want to add traffic.
It will take few days for your site to indexed by Google.

Here Keyword refers to Keyword Phrase.

Keywords should be in URL, domain name, Title, Description, alt text, keywords in links to site pages, in internal links, outgoing links, updating content in the site and updating the links, URL length - less characters is better, site size - Google likes big sites, Site age - Old is gold policy, Newer pages on an older site will get faster recognition.

From all the above listed factors, you can end up on the first page of Google.

All depends upon what you call 'quick' If 2 hours - AdWords

If a month is ok, then quality backlinks.
